today i made some collages..

design i’m playing with.. also, i love sleep.
i’ve started a new series called ‘fake biographies’. every week i will create a new biography for a very new character. when i am done, i will collect all of these characters in one place. here is where i am starting. meet eleanore:
eleanore pernoud.
eleanore pernoud is 23 years old. she collects bibles from hotel rooms and never brushes her teeth with the same tooth brush more than two nights in a row. her hair is short and straight. it is dark. and she wears her bangs right to where they meet her longer than normal eye lashes. eleanore grew up in a row house in brooklyn, between charlie palitouchi who lived alone and tatiana tarasov who had five orange cats. she is the eldest of two children and one pet; a sister who frequently thought she was older than eleanore, and a dog named august. the dog has never been known to exaggerate his age. her parents were an odd couple. her best friend is oskar, with a ‘k’. they were each others first hand hold, first kiss, and first sleep over. eleanore’s favorite color is deep green. she believes this came to be because her eyes are a deep green, and since she has been looking at them each morning for the past 15 some odd years in the mirror, she subconsciously was made to think that it is the best color. her opinions are well known. and though ornery, she has an incredible ability to be quite teachable. her favorite season is spring, but right before it turns to summer. eleanore is in love with love. she wishes she were a bird at least three times a day, and she prays before 9 o’clock each night at the foot of her bed on both knees. she believes that anything is interesting if you look at it long enough. she can count the number of best friends she has on both hands. she is a woman of grace though her feet are two sizes larger than her height would suggest they should be. she is a better listener than a talker, and once told her mother to go to hell. her favorite thing in the morning is the moment right before getting out from under her covers, right before she knows she will be smacked across the skin with the cold air that’s been hanging in the room overnight. she likes this moment because she likes the feeling of being reminded that she’s alive. that she’s awake. eleanore has been to just as many countries as she is in age, and plans to always keep it that way. she was mugged in the south of france and found out she was allergic to tomatoes in sicily. she calls her father once a week.
eleanore pernoud is 23, beautiful, and born with a heart .517 times larger than the average humans.
“julia”
i came across this photo on flickr and found it so beautiful i had to draw it. i’m not sure i did it justice, but there is something about it that i just love. i also took it as an opportunity to fill up my sketchbook project sketchbook.
and since it’s entitled ‘julia’, here is also one of my favorite ‘taken by trees’ songs to go along. which, now that i listen to it, fits this photo quite perfectly..

“i want beauty”
well, i have officially started my collage craze. this is the first of many to come, and i can already tell i am going to get real addicted to this.
lacing lady.
i took a whole roll of black and white film and only about ten of them came out. the tragedies of film photography i suppose.
put some new pictorals up.
