as you may know, my little brother and i started a weekly art challenge a few weeks ago. each week we come up with a new theme so to speak, and see what we come up with creatively. you can catch all of our challenges up till now at art signals, which we have so deemed ourselves. this weeks challenge was ‘spirit animals’. in my honest opinion, i do believe it was our best yet.
i made this:
this little exercise is quickly becoming my favorite part of the week.
and since we’re in the spirit of things, here is a little song about a fox..
love.
i wawnt this. yes. i am fully aware that this is a fox. but just look at how GD beautiful it is.
i just saw wes anderson’s new film, fantastic mr. fox, and in typical wes anderson style.. it was fan-awesome-tastic. i’ve always been a fan of anderson’s colorfully eclectic sense of aesthetic and the dry, witty humor he implores to always keep his films engaging, and this just confirms my affection.
not knowing much about the book by roald dahl in which this film was based, i didn’t know what to expect. but anderson uses classic stop motion animation and the voices of his usual crew (bill murray, jason schwartzman, owen wilson, etc) to make this another great film in his already fantastic repertoire.
you must go see it.
another day makin’ them dollas..
