    not too long ago, i sent mikey from blackbird blackbird, whom i adore, some vocals to a song of mine called ‘meet me in montauk’.  little did i know he would take this song and turn it into something so hauntingly magical.  essentially, he turned this song into the song i’d always wanted it to be..   

    i had written this years ago, both as a tribute to one of my favorite movies (eternal sunshine of the spotless mind) and also to the end of what had been my first experience with falling in love.  as the story goes, the saying ‘meet me in montauk’ had become our way of saying ‘lets meet in our dreams’, as our relationship was long distance.  as sickening as that may sound, it actually ended up coming to mean so much more than just a few lovelorn sentiments.  it spoke to that ever haunting question - ‘what if we could go back and have one last try; a chance to change something; or just say goodbye again. would it all end up the same?’… 

    i don’t know.  but i suppose we could always meet in montauk to find out..

  2. emay//mind altering dynamics EP (download)

    we all know how epic the sounds of emay are when we heard him join blackbird blackbird and starslinger for seeing suge.  well, now he’s gone and made a whole EP for our listening pleasure, filled with some fantastic beats and mind slaying lyrics.  and to make things even better, he’s remixed one of my favorite songs from blackbird blackbird- ups and downs, oh and he even asked me to add some vocals on it myself. :D  so check it out, show some love to emay and grab the EP and enjoy.

    i really could go on and on about how much i enjoy being able to work with mikey, not to mention the fact that he’s just a fantastic person and a wonderful artist, but i’ll just say that it is one of my favorite things to be able to create with this guy right now.  thanks mikey!

    well, it goes without saying that i am beyond excited to be a part of this song!  mikey is undoubtedly one of the best out there, which is only evident in the constant outpour of fantastic tracks he gives our ears.  i had so much fun with this song and look forward to more great collabs in the future! ♥  you’re the best mikey!
