YAY ART!
it’s true! we’ve turned one!! we never thought when we started this little venture that it would turn into the awesome thing that it has become! and it’s all thanks to you guys! because we love you all, and ART, so much, we’re cooking up a special anniversary post for you featuring some of…
applying human attributes to inanimate objects.. we call it personification. ladies..
another one for the art signaling.
another piece up for this weeks art signaling. the theme was ‘cameras’, and well.. i think this is pretty self explanatory. and i’ve always wanted to draw my babies, haha. i love cameras like hipsters love not giving a shit. and that is a LOT.
ok, well it’s true. summer is almost here, and praise sweet god in heaven above! it couldn’t come soon enough in my opinion. well, speaking of summer, art signals just finished up our latest challenge featuring the art of dc bowers (we’ve gone international!), and you guessed it.. the theme was SUMMER. i tried a little something that i’ve never really tried before (below) and was pretty happy about the finished product. my flickr friend, quiezip, was kind enough to let me use one of my favorite photos of hers to make this just the right amount of pure summery bliss. go check it out! and here’s some summer songs while you’re at it..
tanlines//real life (memory tapes remix)
and it’s only right to post the song that inspired it all..
welcome summer.
this is going to rock my socks right off.. via artsignals
well, me and zac are managing to continue our art signaling just brilliantly, and here is what i came up with this week. go check out zac’s at art signals. our theme was ‘man and machine’.. whatchu know about that?! i don’t know why i just said that last part, but i pretty much just hated myself for that.
robots.. technology.. humans.. who. made. who. ??
beep boop bop boop. here is a roboty song (please read all of the previous in robot voice)
so, art signals has posted their latest creation challenge. it’s pretty spectacular. personally, i tried something a little different than i’ve ever done and had quite an enjoyable time doing it. we’ll see how this develops in future projects. our theme was ‘outer space’ and here is what i came out with. go check out the entire post here..
and yes. i wore my russian shirt on purpose, earthlings. and the quote is from frank lloyd wright. i may have taken it completely out of context from what he intended, but i think i’m not mad about it at all, and if you are.. you can just blast off.
also, i made this ‘art signals’ logo of sorts. i could really get into this stuff.

to infinity and beyond. love. and art.
as you may know, my little brother and i started a weekly art challenge a few weeks ago. each week we come up with a new theme so to speak, and see what we come up with creatively. you can catch all of our challenges up till now at art signals, which we have so deemed ourselves. this weeks challenge was ‘spirit animals’. in my honest opinion, i do believe it was our best yet.
i made this:
this little exercise is quickly becoming my favorite part of the week.
and since we’re in the spirit of things, here is a little song about a fox..
love.
trust me. this will be good.
